As part of our continuing efforts to provide extraordinary equipment, Powertec has developed an Optional Crossbar as an Optional Equipment designed to provide and improve stability to the Utility Workbench for models 2013 and older.
Took about 20 minutes to bolt these onto my existing bench and the stability payoff is immediate. The crossbar design locks everything down so racking and unracking doesn't shift the base at all. Feels like a completely different, much more solid setup now.
I was a little worried about wobble when I loaded the bench heavy, but these bars lock everything in place so solidly that it feels like a whole different machine now. They're a total game-changer for my pressing days, and I love that they're clearly built to last through years of abuse.
