I was worried about the 1-1/16 thickness feeling too thin, but on the rack it's rock solid and the collar spacing is exactly right for my bench. Cold rolled steel has a nice smooth finish too, no sharp edges anywhere.

The 51 inches between the collars is spot on for my bench, so loading plates feels rock solid with zero wobble. Cold rolled steel makes it noticeably smoother than my old rusted bar, and the knurling has just enough grip for deadlifts. My only gripe is that one-inch plates can be a bit of a hunt to
