The baked-on gray finish on these plates is holding up perfectly so far, no chips or rust after a few months of weekly use. The grip holes are wide enough that loading and unloading the bar is actually quick, which I didn't expect from a set this size. Solid weight, solid buy.

The plates are solid and the 255-pound total is a decent value for the price, but the baked-on Hammerton gray finish is a bit uneven in places and chips easier than I'd hoped during normal use. The grip holes work as advertised though, so for a basic home setup it gets the job done.
